Prayers

Raphael and Hazel will be traveling to Florida this weekend to spend a couple of weeks with their family.

Dennis Branson and Mildred Crofford continue at home.

It was good to have Lee Guinn with us Sunday for worship.

Please remember our students and teachers as school is soon to start back.

God bless you and yours this week...

News of baptism

No comments:
Steven Hunter, the young man who preached our recent meeting, and I spoke this week and he informed me that his daughter, Brianna, was baptized into Christ Monday afternoon.  Steven and Stephanie are of course very proud of her decision.  Steven was blessed to be the one who performed the baptism.  What a joy it must be as a father to baptize your own child into Christ.  We pray continued blessings on the Hunters who will be back with us in just a couple of years for another wonderful meeting.

E-mail from Honduras

Received this e-mail from Betsy R.:

Just wanted to say hello. Having a great time and doing lots of work.
Very different but still very rewarding. Our compound is just like
church camp. Very basic room, 2 beds, very lukewarm
showers, little light but sooooo beautiful staying in the middle of
the rainforest.
Worked really hard the last 2 days and are so ready for bed. Good
thing cause no TV and little light to read so sleep is the only
option. Food is very Honduran, cooked here but good.
Greatest night last night. I got to meet Fernando, our child we
sponsor. We had a cookout with the orphanage. Met Fernando and he locked on to me and didn't let go the rest
of the night. He is precious. Britt (Brittany Robinson), saw Emmanuel and can't wait for
you to see how he has grown!
Must go. Feel so blessed to be here even though I miss you all very
much. Take care and I'll see you all Friday.
Love you very much!
Betsy

Prayers

Please continue to pray for Dennis Branson who is at home but very weak at this time.

Remember that this Wednesday, Melinda, Betsy and Erica will be leaving for Nashville to fly to Honduras for a week-long campaign.  Pray that much good will be accomplished and more lost souls will hear and see the Gospel.

Congratulations to Aaron and Paige Vaughn who were married this past weekend.  Many members of our church family were on hand to see the ceremony.  Paige and Aaron are honeymooning in Florida this week.

Blessed Sunday

No comments:
We had a wonderful period of fellowship and worship today.  Despite several of our regular members being away, we had quite a few visitors present.

Everyone please have a safe and happy Fourth of July tomorrow!

Remember the Vaughn-Hughes wedding Saturday evening as well.

God bless you in the week ahead!
