Here are Will's Words for those of you who will be away Sunday...

Holidays are a wonderful way to mark the passage of time. As soon as Christmas is over, we will be planning for New Year's Eve. After that, Valentine's Day will be in our thoughts and then, of course, Easter. We each have other days like birthdays and anniversaries that mark our lives in special ways.
While these special days are fun and exciting, the majority of our lives are made up of "ordinary" days. The secret to happiness in this life is learning to let God make every day special. By spending time in God's Word and coming to Him in prayer, each day can become a fulfilling spiritual experience. By learning to walk as Christ walked, we can grow in love and in a gracious spirit. Every day becomes holy when it includes time spent with the Master.
I hope you will resolve to make Christ the center of your life in the days, weeks, months and years to come. Time spent with Him is never wasted and placing Him in His proper position in your life will greatly impact the other aspects of the way you live. When Jesus is included in everything we do, everything we do becomes more focused and purposeful. May God bless you as you live for Him.
Blessings,
-Will

Don't forget that due to Christmas falling on Sunday this year we have altered our service times.  We will have one service at 10:30 AM that will include all the elements of our regular services, but there will be no Bible class.  Please let potential guests know of the change in times and format.  Look forward to sharing Christmas with you!

Tina Davis had successful outpatient surgery today for some ongoing health concerns.
Hopefully this procedure will be all that is required to restore Tina to full health.
Keep Tina in your prayers over the next few days.

We have received word from Randy McAdams that he is Honduras delivering aide along with the Magi Boxes that were prepared by our church and others.  The project, guided by Healing Hands International, is in the process of delivering thousands of Magi Boxes to children living in poverty in Honduras.
Thanks to everyone who aided in this effort.

Update on the West twins

No comments:
Both Case and Canon West are doing well and are progressing better than expected at this time.  The boys are still at The Med in Memphis where they will be for several more weeks.  Mom Katie West has developed an infection from her Cesarean procedure and has been readmitted to the hospital.
Please keep the West/Kelly families in your prayers.

Just wanted to post this again as you make plans...

Due to the fact Christmas Day falls on Sunday, we have altered our normal worship schedule for December 25, 2011. Morning worship (no class) will be at 10:30 AM to allow everyone to have extra time before and after worship for family events. There will be no evening service. Gretta's children's class will meet during my sermon and then join us for the Lord's Supper and closing announcements and prayer.

Hope you will spend part of your Christmas with the Lebanon family!

Congratulations to Scott Hewett and the DHS Lions on being Runner-Up at the annual BlueCross Bowl State Championship.  The Lions end the season 12-3 and Coach Hewett had previously announced that this would be his last season as head coach.  We wish Scott and Angie well and hope they enjoy a well-earned break.

Please continue to remember the West family at this time.  Twin boys, Case and Canon, were born to Justin and Katie this week.  The boys are several weeks early and are naturally quite small and fragile.  They remain in The Med at this time and, considering the circumstances, are doing well.

Continue to remember Lee Guinn, Mildred Crofford and Dennis Branson as well as others who need our prayers.

The food donation was delivered to Santa's Helpers this week along with a financial contribution from the congregation.  The ladies there were most thankful.

Remember Christmas Day we will have only one service (no class or evening service) at 10:30 AM.  Please make plans to spend part of Christmas at Lebanon.

Hope to see everyone tomorrow for a great day of worship!
