Just ask...

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week.  

Perhaps there are some of you who have questions about what the Bible teaches about salvation, the church, or how to live the Christian life.  I certainly do not claim to have all the answers, but I am more than willing to study with you any subject you care to know more about.  I realize that our time in services each week is brief and that something done or said may raise some questions you would like answered.  Please don't be afraid to call or send me a message/e-mail.  I would love to help you in any way that I can.

This week

Hope everyone is having a good week and enjoying the warmer weather.  Please be sure to be present on Sunday as we join together to worship God and study together.

Thanks to everyone for bringing the plastic bags in for the school food backpack program.  The leaders of this program have sent us word that they are currently covered as far as the need for bags goes.  Continue to save your bags at home and we will probably collect more when we are made aware of another need.

Both the Lions and Lady Lions basketball teams are in tournaments this week.

We have received word of two baptisms at the Huron, SD, church within the last couple of weeks.  We are thankful for Timmy's work in Huron.

Please remember all those who are sick and have been going for tests in recent days.  We hope everyone will be feeling well soon.

Honduras Supplies

We are encouraged to bring any of the following items to be used in the Honduras campaign this summer:

• Baby clothes
• Children's clothes
• Small adult clothes for women and men
• Toothbrushes
• Toothpaste
• Soaps
• Hairbrushes
• Combs
• School supplies (Pencils, erasers, rulers, crayons, pencil trimmers, etc.)

Also, Betsy and Melinda are willing to take monetary donations to be used to buy supplies once they are in Honduras.  The amount of supplies they are allowed to carry this year is limited, so this is a good option if you are willing to give in this way.

Great day!

We had a great day at Lebanon yesterday.  We did have several folks out with sickness and family get-togethers, but we had several visitors present as well.  We talked about hard times being holy times, and I hope everyone was uplifted by the study, singing, communing and fellowship.  Last night's class on the spiritual virtue of patience generated good discussion as well.

Good luck to Alex Glisson and the rest of our Dresden basketball players as the the district tournament starts this week.

Several of our members and their extended family are preparing to go for tests and check-ups in the next few days.  We know that God knows these needs and we trust that good reports will come from these visits.

Timmy Walker has sent us an e-mail to let us know another soul was baptized into Christ in South Dakota yesterday.  We rejoice in that news!

Tomorrow

Be sure to pick up a list of items needed for the mission trip to Honduras.  Also remember to bring your plastic bags for the backpack program.

Join us this Sunday!

We are so blessed at Lebanon to have some great young families. I am so proud to see parents bringing their children to Sunday School and worship.  Seeing these young people learn in classes and begin to listen and join in worship is truly a blessings.  These parents are rising to the challenge to bring these youngsters to worship. This action, while sometimes tiring for the family, is instilling a pattern in these kids that will hopefully last a lifetime. I have been blessed to baptize several of these parents over the last eight years and I hope to someday be blessed to teach and baptize their children as well.

We would love to have you join us at Lebanon this Sunday!  Bring the whole family and join us in worship.

Sunday School is at 10:00 AM, worship at 11:00 AM and evening services at 5:00 PM.

Remember...

Remember to bring your plastic bags (grocery store, Dollar Store, Wal-Mart type) to be used in the county-wide food backpack program.  We already had many bags brought in last week and they have been delivered to the coordinators of this effort.  This is a simple thing to do that makes a big impact.
